It all began with a Mother adapting paint brushes and creating collaborative fun art pieces with her disabled son. One day, someone suggested that we try selling some prints of our very special paintings. Having no art experience, I decided to create “Daniel’s Special Art Shop” as a way to give him a vocation to follow. He is 25 and lives at home with us now. Since he no longer can go to school, we have brought many activities into our home for him. Including transforming our dining room into an art and project room.

The art shop was a way for us to share the projects that we both put our hearts into together. The shop started with 8 x 10 prints of our many acrylic and water color paintings and projects. It has expanded into ornaments, notebooks, journals, magnets, and more. Truly a special shop, we are always working on new pieces, and we love feedback from our customers. I customized one of our designs this past Christmas on the request of a woman who wanted them for a special program at her church! They came out great!

Daniel is non verbal and has very little ability. He is, however, very much a visually acute young man, and really enjoys tactile experiences. Welcome to Daniel’s Special Art. Our little shop made from infinite love.
